It's ON

So, after a break in the Premier League due to World Cup 2010 qualifiers, in which a rampant England turned on some never before seen style to shred Croatia 5-1, it's time to get back to the weekend's League fixtures!!

And what a weekend it will be! The pick of the matches has to be Manchester United v. Tottenham, with the Arsenal v. Manchester City a close runner up.

Due to our crap resources on proper TV, I will be watching the Liverpool v. Burnley match (at 9:55am) on my roommate's gorgeous 50 inch HDTV, on ESPN2. Then I'll watch the United match on the internet, hopefully finding a good stream after trying loads of shite ones, as usual. I'll be keeping an eye on the score of the Arsenal/City game as well...my hate for City grew with every big-money, funded by Arab oil cash signing they made in the off-season. God, I hope money can't buy you trophies! (Chelsea FC, anyone?).

The predos-
I predict, because of their superior midfield, that Arsenal will beat City 2-1. Their defences are similarly skilled, but I think the overall quality and cohesiveness of Arsenal's midfield will trump Adebayor and Barry's skills for City.

And for the Red Devils...I really can't see much difference in these teams. Rooney's on fire, and so is his England colleague Aaron Lennon. Thankfully, they've lost Luka Modric to a broken leg...probably their best player out for a while. Should be a nice Fletcher/Palacios battle going on... I could see us win 1-0. The ball will probably be bogged down in midfield mostly...a draw wouldn't blow me away though.

"Who are ya!? Who are ya?! Who are ya!?"
